Delegate Nicole Williams Newsletter - November

Dear Neighbors and Friends -

Tomorrow is Thanksgiving! It is a day when we give thanks for the blessings of the year and surround ourselves with those whom we care about. It marks the start of the holiday season. November is also National American Indian Heritage Month where we pay tribute to the rich ancestry and traditions of Native Americans. Regardless of your traditions this time of year, whether it be family dinner around the table, going out to a nice restaurant, or watching football in the living room I want to wish everyone a wonderful Thanksgiving.

FBI HQ Comes to Greenbelt, Finally

On Friday, November 10th, Maryland Governor Wes Moore and Congressman Steny Hoyer led a press conference celebrating Greenbelt's selection as the new location of the Federal Bureau of Investigation's (FBI) national headquarters (HQ). This is a big win, not just for Greenbelt and District 22 but all of Prince George's County and the State of Maryland.

Nicole in the Community

We had a great time at our District 22 Legislative Town Hall on November 18th where we discussed the upcoming legislative session.

I also attended the swearing-in of the New Greenbelt City Council. This is the first time that Greenbelt has a majority woman city council and the first time a woman of color has been elected to serve on the Greenbelt City Council.

It was also great to attend the press conference about the selection of Greenbelt for the new FBI headquarters.
